HISTORICAL NOTES: The 12th Regiment, Connecticut Infantry was organized at Hartford, Connecticut and was mustered in from November 19th to the 3rd of December, 1861. This regiment was mustered out of service on August 12, 1865.

The 12th Connecticut Infantry Regiment lost 6 officers and 65 enlisted men killed or mortally wounded and 8 officers and 196 enlisted men to disease during the War.
