    Approximately 450 units were formed in Georgia in service to the state and the Confederate States of America. Henderson's Roster of the Confederate Soldiers of Georgia covers the majority of the infantry units (# 1-66).

    Our On-Line site and CD-ROM is dedicated to the memory of these men. Our focus is on the units not found in Henderson's work:

      87 Cavalry units designated variously as regiments, battalions or Legions.
      53 Artillery units designated variously as regiments, battalions, or companies.
