George served in the 36th Georgia Infantry Company B. private February 1, 1862. Captured at Marietta, Ga. July 3, 1864. Applied for oath of allegiance at Camp Douglas, Ill. "Claiming to have been loyal; was forced to enlist in Confederate Army to avoid conscription and deserted to avail himself of amnesty proclamation." Mustered into the 6th Regiment U. S. Vol. Inf. at Camp Douglas, Ill. April 3, 1865.
George Wilson Price was born 1825 and lived most of his adult life in Maryland. A G W Price served in the 36th Georgia Infantry Company B. It is unknown if these are the same man.
