1862. Captured at Monticello, Ga. November 19, 1864, and forwarded
to Corps Provost Marshal same date. No later record. Died at
Monticello, Ga.
Jordan, William F: 1st Lieutenant April 25, 1861. Elected Cap-
tain April 26, 1862; Major April 28, 1862; Lieutenant Colonel
May 22, 1862. Resigned August 15, 1862. Died in Jasper County,
Ga. in 1901.
Meriwether, George F.-2d Lieutenant April 25, 1861. Resigned
August 15, 1861. Elected Jr.2d Lieutenant of Co. A, 19th Battn.
Ga. Cavalry July 24, 1862. Transferred to Co. F, 10th Regiment
Confederate Cavalry as 2d Lieutenant December 27, 1862. Wounded
through right knee at Saltville, Va. October 2 or December 20, 1864. No
later record. Died in Jasper County, Ga. in 1896.
Smith, Charles -Jr.2d Lieutenant April 25, 1861. Resigned April
26, 1862.
Lane, John T.-1st Sergeant April 25, 1861. Elected 2d Lieuten-
ant August 15, 1861; 1st Lieutenant April 26, 1862; Captain April
28, 1862. Wounded in left arm, resulting in amputation, at
Gettysburg, Pa. July 1, 1863. Died from wounds July 25, 1863.
Freeman, David C.-2d Sergeant April 25, 1861. Appointed 1st
Sergeant August 15, 1861. Transferred to Regimental Band in
1863. Surrendered Appomattox, Va. April 9, 1865.
Pritchett, Edward H.--3d Sergeant April 25, 1861. Resigned,
disability, Camp Jackson, at Richmond, Va., June 24, 1861.
McCullough, John-4th Sergeant April 25, 1861. Severely
wounded through both thighs and captured at Gettysburg, Pa.
July 1, 1863. Appears last on roll for April 27, 1864. Dis-
charged, disability.
Pettee, Henry C: 5th Sergeant April 25, 1861. Transferred to
Regimental Band in 1862. Captured at Gettysburg, Pa. July 4,
1863. Discharged at Ft. Delaware, Del. August 25, 1863. No later
record.
Penn, Charles A: 1st Corporal April 25, 1861. Killed at Chan-
cellorsville, Va. May 2, 1863.
Aaron, John Lumpkin-2d Corporal April 25, 1861. Wounded at
Spottsylvania, Va. May 12, 1864. On wounded furlough August 31,
1864, to close of war.
