HISTORICAL NOTES:
*This company was originally designated 1st Co. I, 3d Regiment Ga. Infantry. It was detached from this regiment, under Special Order No 242, Hdqrs. Richmond, Va. and became Blodgett's Battery Ga. Light Artillery August 5, 1861. This company was designated Co. C, 2d Battn. Ga. Reserve Light Artillery in August 1861. Upon the resignation of Captain Blodgett, May 21, 1862, John Milledge, Jr., was elected Captain and it became known as Milledge's Battery Ga. Light Artillery.
