HISTORICAL NOTES:

This regiment was organized at Fort Union, N.M., September, 1861. OFFICERS:

ASSIGNMENTS:

Duty at Fort Union till February, 1862.

SERVICE:

Action at Valverde February 21. Engagement at Glorietta or Pigeon Ranch March 28. Pursuit of Confederate forces April 13-22. Duty in Central, Northern and Santa Fe Districts till May. Mustered out May 31, 1862.

ROSTERS:

The composite roster of this regiment contains the names of 484 men.
