HISTORICAL NOTES: The identification of this unit is a mystery. The 15th Cavalry Battalion Partisan Rangers was sometimes referred to as the 1st, but we have two different rosters. The roster of the Alabama 15th Cavalry Regiment is defective with only 73 names. ROSTER:
